Valley Elementary School in Bath County welcomed most students in 2023-24 school year

Valley Elementary School had the highest enrollment among Bath County schools, welcoming 185 students during the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed at the time, 55.7% of them were male, and 44.3% were female.

Data also showed that most of the students were white, representing 84.9% of Valley Elementary School's total enrollment.

Among the three schools in Bath County, Bath County High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 183 students, while Millboro Elementary School welcomed 141 students to be ranked third in the 2023-24 school year.

Valley Elementary School is part of Bath County Public Schools District, which roughly covers schools within Bath County, with its main office in Hot Springs.

In the previous school year, Bath County High School had the highest number of students among Bath County schools.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
