66 percent of applicants to Bridgewater College were admitted for fall 2018

At Bridgewater College, 99 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Bridgewater enrolled 1,857 students in fall 2018, including 1,839 in undergraduate and 18 in graduate programs, data shows. 1.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

76 percent of undergraduates are residents of Virginia, and 22 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (65 percent) and Black or African American (16 percent).

The school admitted 66 percent of the 6,360 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 14 percent enrolled.
