Registration for Preschool Story Time on September 16

Registration for Preschool Story Time

When: September 16

Time: All Day

Location: Augusta Public Library

We are now taking registration for our fall Preschool Storytimes. The registration form is available for pick up at the library or can be done by phone at 775-2681. Preschool Storytime meets from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Tuesday or Wednesday. You may choose to attend either on Tuesdays or on Wednesdays. Registration is required, and class size is limited.

Preschool Storytime is a time of stories, rhymes, songs, fingerplays, and puppets designed to prepare preschoolers for early literacy. Crafts and games improve large and small motor skills while encouraging creativity and socialization with peers. Colors, letters, shapes, and counting are reviewed in fun matching games and songs.

Preschool storytime is for 3 to 5-year-olds who have not entered kindergarten.

The parent (or caregiver) is required to remain in the library while their child is taken into storytime. This helps children adjust to being left for short periods of time in preparation for kindergarten.

We ask that the preschool child be taken to the bathroom by the caregiver before storytime begins.

We ask that you arrive a few minutes early so we can start promptly. If you are running late, please be courteous to staff and other participants. If you are late 15 minutes or less, quietly join your story time group. If you are more than 15 minutes late, do not enter the program in progress. Enjoy our preschool play area, and browse our books. We will look forward to seeing you next time!
