Softball Announces 2023 Schedule

- Bridgewater College Head Softball Coach Megan Pleskovic unveiled her team's upcoming slate of games on Tuesday afternoon.

The Eagles start off the season with a home doubleheader against Greensboro on Feb. 25 as a tune up before heading to Winter Haven, Florida, for a spring break trip. BC will play eight games over break and return home with another home nonconference twinbill, this time against Mary Washington on March 9.

Bridgewater heads to nearby Mary Baldwin on March 21 and start up ODAC play on March 25 at Ferrum. After a home doubleheader with Shenandoah on April 2, the Eagles travel to Christopher Newport for a pair of games with the reigning national champions on April 5. The string of road series continues with a trip to Roanoke on April 8 and concludes with another installment of the Route 42 Rivalry at Eastern Mennonite on April 11.

Four of the final five series of the season will take place at the Bridgewater Softball Field with doubleheaders against Guilford, Averett, Lynchburg and Randolph-Macon on home field before closing out the regular season against last season's ODAC champion, Virginia Wesleyan on April 28.

In total, the Eagles are set for 40 games in 2023, including 16 of those at home.

Last season, the Eagles finished 24-19 overall, including an 11-7 record in league play. Bridgewater picked up several wins against nationally-ranked opponents and advanced to the ODAC Tournament.
