90 2nd-grade students enrolled in Rockbridge County schools in 2023-24 school year

There were 90 2nd-grade students enrolled in Rockbridge County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 16.9% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

The school that enrolled the largest number of 2nd-grade students in the county was Natural Bridge Elementary School.

Within Rockbridge County schools, the largest number of students were found in 11th-grade, while 8th-grade had the least students.

Statewide, Rockbridge County ranked 94th in enrollment numbers. It was also ranked 94th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
