2023-24 School Year Enrollment: 42 8th-grade students welcomed in Bath County schools

There were 42 8th-grade students enrolled in Bath County schools in the 2023-24 school year, 10.5% more than the previous year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

Bath County High School was the only school that welcomed 8th-grade students in the county.

Within Bath County schools, the largest number of students were found in 7th-grade, while 1st-grade had the least students.

Statewide, Bath County ranked 130th in enrollment numbers. It was also ranked 130th the year before.

As of November 2023, according to Public Schools Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools nationwide.
