Enrollment in Bath County Public Schools District increased over previous year

The only school district in Bath County had rising enrollment in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Virginia Department of Education.

There were 509 students in Bath County Public Schools District, 1% more than the year before.

Enrollment in Bath County bucked the state's trend of decreasing enrollment.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2023-24 school year, 50.1% of them were male, and 49.9% were female.

Data also showed that most of the studets were white, representing 89.6% of Bath County Public Schools District's total enrollment.

Bath County Public Schools District has a main office in Warm Springs and is the only school district within Bath County.

According to Public School Review, Virginia public schools saw an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:14 in the 2023-24 school year, which is better than the national average of 1:15 in public schools.
